Outcasts was a little late getting to the printers so anyone ordering the book might have to wait a couple more weeks. Sorry to everyone about that.
In the latest issue of World Soccer, I have written a piece about football in the Falklands, which is covered at greater length in Outcasts.
In the next issue of WS, I have written a piece about football in a place not in the book -Tuvalu in the South Pacific, who are in blue in the photo above.
Tuvalu are not even in FIFA but played in the very first set of world cup qualifiers - the recent South Pacific Games in Samoa. They did not win a game but at least they are getting started.
At the end of this month, I am going to the Play The Game conference at Reykjavik in Iceland.
I am going to give a paper on football in Northern Cyprus and how this is connected to the political problems there. The paper should be available on the Play The Game site soon after.
